BRIEF LIFE HISTORY OF
KHATIB AL BARAAHEEN HAZRAT SUFI MOHAMMED NIZAMUDDIN SAHAB
To write a complete biography of Khatibul Baraaheen Hazrat Sufi

years of research, traveling, and interviews with many eminent

life. To dive into such a vast and deep ocean to gather the innumerable
pearls from the beginning of His life is certainly no easy task.

will inspire and encourage a nobler and more talented pen to dive
into that vast ocean and produce a comprehensive biography of
this great Mystic of Islam.

Pradesh, India where I saw an Alim e Deen (Islamic scholar) teaching
his students. I offered my regards (Salaam) to the Alim E Deen
(Islamic scholar) and sat in one corner. This Alim E Deen (Islamic
scholar) had a radiant personality. His radiance reflected itself
in his character and manners that he displayed. He was exemplary
in every way. His actions displayed his immense love for the Sunnah
of the Beloved Prophet (Sallallahoalaihiwasallam). After observing
him for few moments my inner self started telling me that instead
of going to the place where I had to go I should appoint this
Alim E Deen (Islamic scholar) for Darul Uloom Fazl Rehmania. After
a few hours of conversation I was able to convince the Alim E
Deen (Islamic scholar) and appointed him as the lecturer of Darul

PERSONALITY, CHARACTER AND HABITS
Khatibul Baraaheen Sufi Mohammed Nizamuddin sahib’s personality
is a shining example of the Truth of Islam.
He has dedicated his life in serving the Deen of Almighty Allah,
by propagating Islam, defending the exalted pedestal of Prophet
Hood and educating the Muslim masses in accordance with the pristine
teachings of the Holy Quran and the Hadith. He is not only a great
scholar, but and also is one of the best teachers of present time.
He enlightens and educates his followers on: How to love ones
religion, how to open ones doors to whomsoever knocks at, irrespective
of creed or color, how to be patient in times of turmoil and odd
moments, how to give love in return for hatred, sincerity for
hypocrisy and friendship for hostility.
He is a great orator. He is famous for his lectures on the topics
of Quran and Hadith. His lectures are loaded with proofs and references
from the holy Quran and Hadith.
He wrote articles on social reform which gained popularity among
the readers. These cognate articles possess vital significance
for social reform in India. Some of them have been reprinted in
book form while some others will be printed in the near future
so that the views of the great Alim may be conveyed to the masses.
The articles which have been published in book form are: 1) Dadhi
Ki Ahmiyat, 2) Khane Peene Ka Islami Tariqah, 3) Barkaat E Miswaak,
4) Ikhtiyaaraat E Imamun Nabiyeen, 5)Falsafah E Qurbani,6) Barkaat
E Rozah, 7) Huqooq E Walidain, 8) Fazail Nadinah, 9) Fazail E
Tilawat E Quran E Mubeen, 10) Fazail E Darood, 11) Khutbaat E
Khatibul Baraheen.
He is a bright example of his pious predecessors. He possessed
a beautiful character and had all good habits. He is a very pleasant
and gentle person and always smiles when he speaks to anyone.
His respect for the elders and love for children is one of his
blessed qualities.
Even though he is a great scholar, he never shows any pride over
his knowledge. He respects all the Ulemas (religious scholars)
and Mashaikh (spiritual masters) and humbles himself in their
presence. His humbleness was another example of his exemplary
character.
He always lowers his gaze when in conversation or when walking
on the street.
When adorning clothes or putting his shoes, he is very conscious
of not violating the Sunnah. Due to his humbleness, his dress
is also the same; He wears a white Kurta and, a white Taiband
and always carries Aasa in his hands.
He always sits and eats on the floor and follows the Sunnah
meticulously. He evens follows the Sunnah of taking a pinch of
salt before eating. His diet usually consists of roti (bread),
dal, rice and Dudhi (Bottle guard).
He sleeps on his right-hand side. He never prefers anyone to
lie flat on his or her face when asleep.
He prohibits Muslims from keeping Un Islamic names and names
which have no meaning.
He never performs Salaah using the mike system and strongly
disapproves of this.
As Huzoor Mufti-e-Azam-e-Hind (Alairehma), he has always displayed
discomfort for those who do not have proper beards and who were
gaudy westernized clothes.
He strongly disapproves lack of Purdah. He disapproves of males
sitting in the midst of females and never sits alone with females.
He also strongly disapproves of women sitting inside Mazaars
He is an excellent example of AI Hubbu Lil Laahi Wal Bughzu
fillah or love for the sake of Allah and hate for the sake of
Allah and Ashidaa u alal kufaari wa Ruhamaa u bainahum or Firm
against the disbelievers and gentle amongst your own.
He is steadfast on the maslak of the Ahle Sunnah Wa Jamaah. He
is strictly against from all those who are against the Ahle Sunnah
Wa Jamaah, such as the Deobandis, Wahabis, Qadianis, Shias, Moudoodis
and Nadwis etc. He does not keep any kind of relation ship with
them. He thinks them to be the enemies of Islam.
Some famous writers have written books on his contributions.
Every writer has thrown light on different aspect of his personality.
Some of these books are:
1) Do Azeem shalksiyatein by Maulana Mubarak Hussain Misbahi,
the Chief Editor of The Ashrafia monthly.
2) Khatibul Baraheen Ek Munfaridul Misal Shaksiyat by Mufkkir
E Islam Hazrat Maulana Idris Bastavi, the Deputy Manager of Al
Jamiatul Ashrafiya.
3) Aayenah E muhaddith E Bastavi by Ameerul Qalam Hazrat Maulana
Maqbul Ahmed Salik Misbahi Founder of Jamia Hazrat Khawaja Qutubbuddin
Bakhtiyar Kaki,Delhi.
4) Khatibulbaraheen Apne Khutbaat ke Ayene mein by Khairul Azkiya
Hzrat Mufti Sadrul Wara Qadri Misbahi, Teacher at Aljamiatul Ashrafiya,
Mubarakpur.
5) Khatibul Baraheen Ayenah E Ashaar Mein by Dr. Azizullah Khan
Azizi.
6) Muhaddith E Bastavi Sunnat E Rasool Ke Ayene Mein by Maulana
Tahirul Qadri, teacher jamia Kamilia Ahle Sunnat Miftahul Uloom
Not withstanding his status and knowledge his lifestyle remained
the epitome of simplicity.
He is essentially a man of culture. The way he walks, sits, greets,
talks to and smiles at people, his tact shown in a discussion,
his patience in listening to others, all combine to make a unique
mystic in the field of religion today.
He is a great mystic, with a pure selfless heart, disentangled
from materialism. He is a genuine preacher that disregards ostentation
and self-interest. He propagates Islam in its true pristine form
and invigorates the love of Almighty Allah, his beloved Prophet
(Sallallahoalaihiwasallam), and his Companions (Sahaba’s) in the
hearts of mankind.
We call Him, a mystic. But what is a mystic? He is someone who
cannot be put into words, as words will show us one side of him,
but the other side is beyond words. A real Sufi does not care
what name people call him. Who calls him a Sufi, it is not he.
But if he does not call himself, someone else is sure to find
a name for him, it is man that gives names. If you call yourself
'New Way', it will be made into some name of a new sect one-day.
He is a mystic who cannot be described in our prose or poetry.
Even if we write volumes and volumes on him, ordinary mortals
like ourselves will never be able to do justice to him. We leave
it other mystics to do it.
We make Humble Dua the Almighty Allah, through the Wasila of Sayyiduna
Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and through the Sadaqah
and Wasila of Mashaikhs (Spritual masters) Aliya Qadriya Barkatiya
Nooriya Raziva Silsila (Spiritual Linage) grants Khatibul Baraaheen
Hazrat Sufi Mohammed Nizamuddin Sahib long life, good health and
the strength to continue serving the Ahle Sunnah Wa Jamaah. Ameen
(sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).
